About PSI-STI-Assistant Course

PSI means Police Sub-Inspector, STI means Sales Tax Inspector, Asst. means Mantralaya Assistant. This exam is conducted by MPSC.Many students wrongly take MPSC State Civil Exam and this exam to be the same, as both are conducted by MPSC.The syllabus differs for both.

Students should not get confused only by the fact that both the exams are conducted by Maharashtra Public Service Commission.They must collect proper authentic information regarding both and then make their decision .The syllabus also differs for both.To mention a few example, Arithmetic is a subject only for PSI-STI-Asst.exam and not for MPSC Civil Service Exams.There, Mental Ability test are included. Agriculture , as a subject , is icluded in State Civil Service Preliminary Exams,while it is not included in PSI-STI-Asst Prelim Exams .Both Prelim and Main Exams are multiple choice type for PSI-STI-Asst. Exam ,while for State Civil Service Exams the main exam is descriptive in nature and include essay type question.One has to appear for two Optional Subjects paper for State Civil Service Exams ,while there are no Optional subjects for PSI-STI-Asst.Exam.
